It's been a few months since my questions. I finally got this system installed - ECM4Z with 3/4 HP motor on my Bosch IDS system.
I have to say, it works waaay too good. Exceeded expectations.
I have 3 zones, 1 of which is considerably smaller than the others. and this setup does SO well controlling that.
No need for a bypass, register noise is gone, and it ramps up and down so accurately based on duct temp and ESP.
The outdoor unit responds appropriately - small zone runs, outdoor is at its lowest capacity.
